They told the health care workers to call him for a meeting in the basement just so they could arrest him. He has a valid visa till 2026 but they revoked it without telling him on the basis of a misdemeanor he was fined for some years ago. This is not a case of ‘moral turpitude’ so they can’t deport him, hopefully. He is also married to a US citizen.

I happened to watch Costa-Gavras’ film “disappeared'“ yesterday and the motives are the same to create a climate of fear among those unable to resist.
